At Hampreston School we will be laying the foundations for the rest of each child's school life. It is crucial that every child has a happy and productive time with us and that a positive attitude to education is nurtured. We want children to be enthusiastic about learning, to work hard to achieve their full potential and experience a wide range of activities.

Our purpose is to develop enquiring minds, encourage independence of learning, involve children in co-operative methods of working and enable children to achieve their highest possible standards in both the process and the outcome of their work. We choose teaching styles and methods appropriate to the task and child.

We respect the past and retain some long-standing traditions of this Christian village school, whilst ensuring that every opportunity available in the 21^st century is offered to our children with the most up-to-date facilities.

We enjoy a close relationship with our local church and the message of the Christian gospel is at the heart of everything we do. We build close relationships with the children and adults in our school community and recognise that every child is a unique and precious individual.
